Yippee! Rain in the valley, snow in the mountains. It's about time for the former, a little early for the latter. Now it's perfect fall weather until the next storm (tomorrow).
Rebecca, having grown up in Queens and LI, I can attest to the amazement that view brings about - you should see it in person - it's even more incredible.

Yes, this is the view from my sun porch. On a clear day, the mountains actually have tops.
And Shirley, the heat is gone. I'm shivering.
