Thank God for Hike Day!
We went up to Red Pine Lake in Little Cottonwood Canyon. The mountains are melting off late this year; there was still quite a bit of snow on the trails, but not enough to deter me, in spite of the fact that I hiked in an old pair of running shoes instead of my Foot Wreckers. I was also able to sneak a little nap on a boulder by the side of the lake.

It looks "GORGEOUS"!!! What elevation were you at & how long of a hike was it?

Oh...let's see. Maybe 8,500 or 9,000 feet? Pretty short distance: only about 6 miles or so, round trip.
Wow, your pictures are stunning.
No blisters? But you managed a nap! Sounds a success to me!
That 's beautiful.
Ah great photos!!! So nice you got a nap.
Nope sorry cuddling..means cuddling over here..HAha..
PS...the white cat does not like melons, ( he's a pure meat scraps man) but our little black one likes corn, green beans and grapes!!!
Holy moly, Kate.
That is breathtakingly beautiful!
Thank you so much.
A nap on a boulder? Wow. You ARE in good shape.
What fantastic scenery! Thank you so much for sharing the pictures. I'm glad you didn't allow the feet wreckers the chance to destroy you this time.
