Words Seldom Heard

From my 9 year-old daughter:

"You know I love apple pie, Mom; but I think I'll pass. I'm so full from all that cabbage I ate."

I have not written in my blog for a week. This is not for lack of stuff to write about, but from a simple lack of opportunity to sit down and write it. Hopefully, that will change soon.

All of those words I have spoken many times in my 36 years of life. But NEVER EVER have I spoken them in that order. That's nuts! Good for you Mom, you are doing something right over there!

I totally hear ya on finding time to write. I've been so overwhelmed with nesting, washing, packing overnight bags, pulling stuff out of overnight bags (Mom! You put my favorite shirt in the bag!) re-packing...eesh!
Hope all is well in the Suburban home!!
(and you can always stop by my "place" and vent! I looovvveed your comment and it kept me thinking and going back and re-reading what I wrote and what you wrote.)

A great sign that you're bringing her up beautifully.

Wo. I think I can top that. Yesterday, I asked Liv if she wanted half of my doughnut. She said, "Do we have any of those great peaches left?"

Where she gets this is SO not from me...

The great peaches, alas, are at an end here in Colorado. They were so good this year I think we devoured at least one or two a day for months. I totally understand Liv's statement. I do NOT, however, understand your daughter's, Kate! :-)
