With This Ring I Get Thee Off My Back

Yeah, Si replaced my wedding ring, which he lost the day I had surgery in March. In all honesty, I did not nag him for a new one. But since I was suggesting that he hand over one of his nipples in exchange, I think getting a new ring makes him feel safer.

How did he give it to you? Was it romantic?

Oh, Kate. I have been offline for so long I had no idea. And now, well, I don't know what to say except that I'm thinking about you and yeah, I don't think pink is your color.

@anantadarma - Oh, I wish! Si doesn't do romantic. He ordered it online; it came in the mail. Sara had gone out to the mailbox, but had to come back for help because the package got jammed in there. Si went to help her and brought it to me in the kitchen. I opened it up, tried it on, gave him a kiss and admired it. I could tell by the look on his face that he was anxious to see that I liked it, but he didn't say anything. Maybe I should make up a story about how he placed it on my finger and told me he'd marry all over again... That husband is the Parallel Universe Husband.

I have a parallel universe spouse too. Mine starts the coffee every morning and then brings me a cup for me to find when I get out of the shower, perfectly done up in my favorite cup with a dollop of cream.

And pink. My little sister is a breast cancer survivor and she said that she got so sick of pink that it made her even more nauseated than she already was during chemo. She lives in a small town and to this day, people buy her pink things. She hit her four year recovery mark two weeks ago. You will too, you know.

Pink and I have been in mediation and have now reconciled. I even got me a new pink cruiser bicycle! Not pink for breast cancer, just pink because it's so damn cool, and I can accept that now.
Although I still don't ever want to wear anything with a pink ribbon on it.
Love to you!!!!!!!! xoxoxo
